In-Person Application Requirement
Applications for issuing or renewing an adult passport must be submitted in person at a Cypriot Diplomatic Mission. Some of these missions are equipped with biometric stations to facilitate the application process. Note that if you have applied for Cypriot citizenship, you must wait for your citizenship application to be approved before you can apply for a passport.

Necessary Documents
To apply for a Cypriot Biometric Passport, you need to present the following documents in their original form for verification, along with copies:
1. Completed Application for Passport (Form M.9G/T)
2. Original Birth Certificate
3. Original Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
4. Police Report (if your previous passport was lost or stolen)
5. Original Cypriot Citizenship Certificate (if citizenship was acquired through registration or naturalization)
6. One Recent Photograph (4X5 cm)
7. Republic of Cyprus Identity Card

Biometric passports for adults are valid for ten (10) years.
