Real Client Enquiries: General Relocation Questions

Hello CYAUSE team,

Crazy is good… and I appreciate the feedback.

Some more questions/asks for clarification below.

Pension savings:

1. -Is there anything comparable to UK SIPP in Cyprus? 

    CYAUSE Response-Not familiar with UK SIPP . I think we do not have such a thing here.

2.  -How do people save for retirement outside of the state system? 

    CYAUSE Response - Private insurances . We can assist you with.

I can do the fund research on my own but please advise on the above.

Residency/travel:

1. -To confirm, as I’m in the UK right now, this classes as overseas travel away from Cyprus… hence any expenses incurred here would go into “international travel” ? 

CYAUSE Response -Yes!

   -I have an office in the UK… does this matter considering above? This is a home office to be exact… still overseas from yellow slip standpoint.

   - Cyprus accounting etc will ingore the uk office.

CYAUSE Response - It creates tax issues

     We assume you travel abroad for Cyprus business.

2. -Travel to Ireland falls under international bucket as well since it is away from Cyprus… so will be to USA

CYAUSE Response - Yes!

3. -All expenses are classed at the time of being incurred hence I logged some expenses for Cyprus as National and International for 2024… same for the UK… but 2025 should be a clear cut.

   -OK no worries!

Use of home office for business purpose:

1. -A while ago we discussed this: That is creation of a rental agreement between CY Ltd and ourselves for the provision of home office space.

We will do it once non-dom application is approved.

CYAUSE Response:    -OK!

    -Now, what is the reasonable monthly “all-inclusive rent” for two offices… one in Cyprus and second in the UK? For example, €1,500 per office? Or would you consider UK being more expensive? 

CYAUSE Response: Euro 800 per month for Cyprus is ok!
